Project INDIMA

The INDIMA consortium, consisting of DSU (Department for Emergency Situations, Ministry of the Interior, Romania), HRC (Hungarian Red Cross, Hungary), iHELP (iHELP Institute, Poland) and publicomm was awarded a contract by DG ECHO for the Knowledge Network Call. The European Commission is funding the “Integrated Disaster Management” project submitted in 2020.

Focus of the project is the identification of the main actors, three online workshops, a simulation exercise and a final workshop.

Publicomm GmbH is responsible for the work packages, I am appointed as “Project Manager”.

  • WP2: Planning and tasks,
  • WP3: Communication and media support and
  • WP5: Virtual-Reality-based simulation exercises.

The duration of the project is 18 months, starting on January 1, 2021.

Austrian Red Cross, HQ, (disaster management and research), Hungarian Water Aid of the Budapest waterworks and the voluntary fire and rescue service Szeged were won as implementing partners. Furthermore, there are almost 50 experts from the fields of crisis management, disaster relief and infrastructure who will work on the project and support the development.
